1. Not a medical device

2. Not EMDR therapy

ALMA delivers the alternating left-right tactile stimulation used in EMDR sessions. EMDR itself is a structured psychotherapy delivered by a trained clinician. ALMA borrows one component of it as a self-guided tool. Using ALMA is not the same as receiving EMDR therapy, and it is not a substitute for working with a licensed professional.
